Rothschild Surrealist Ball, 1972

If you thought the Illuminati theory was new, you haven't heard about Marie-Hélène de Rothschild's infamous surrealist ball, a truly freaky dinner party that's gone down in history. Like some sort of Eyes Wide Shut society bash, the 1972 event saw the likes of Salvador Dali, Audrey Hepburn, and a slew of wealthy sophisticates head to a red-lit Château Ferrières, dressed in birdcages, antlers, and even an animal's head. Even today people consider it slightly satanic.
