I don't know about you, but I have been doubling down on podcasts lately. And one of my biggest guilty pleasures has become this show (do we call podcasts shows?), Even The Rich. Basically, it's all about doing deep dives into the world of the ultra-privileged. They tear back the curtain on Princess Diana and Meghan Markle (personally, I'd skip this one), the Murdochs (couldn't get enough of this crazy insane family), Jay-Z and Beyoncé (you will be shocked at how little you know about them), and most recently, the Gettys.
I won't spoil the story for you, but the latter revolves around the infamous kidnapping of John Paul Getty III, the grandson of American oil tycoon and all around curmudgeon J. Paul Getty. Though J. Paul Getty was the richest man in the world back in his day, when his 16-year old grandson was kidnapped and held for ransom, J.P. had zero interest in parting with a cent for his return.
Sound pretty rough? Well, it was. But it definitely wasn't the only way in which the old man was stingy. Click through for some of his most legendary cheap moments!
