There are certain unspoken rules in New York, such as "You just don't go out around Times Square" or "If you're not into long distance relationships, don't date someone who lives in Queens." But, like everything else in this city, those rules are always shifting, along with (and thanks to) the real estate. New developments turned hot spots have put some formerly to-be-avoided areas on the map.
