This fall, it's time to level up your foreign language skills. While everyone is trying to learn French - and struggling with grammar and nasal sounds, you can drop a few phrases in these true foreign languages and keep it chic.
1. Korean
Let's be honest, we have all tried once or twice to mimic the moves from Gangnam Style while humming the lyrics. We head to K-Town after a wild party night in the Meatpacking to have that bowl of hot spicy tofu soup. See? We are almost half Korean at this point. So, why not fulfill that another half by learning Korean?

2. German
Although German was not as popular as French or Spanish in school, you might need to pick it up now - especially if you are a soccer fan. Did you see all those tricks that German players showed off during the World Cup? Not to mention their charms and chiseled bodies! Stop complaining that we don't have hot single guys in the city. Learn German and work your language magic in Berlin this fall.

3. Arabic
Arabic is the fifth most commonly spoken language in the world. After watching
Sex and the City 2 set in Abu Dhabi, we have been keen on getting a pair of
babouche (بابوش), handmade-leather slippers. As traveling to Abu Dhabi or Dubai is officially on everyone's bucket list, now might be a good time to start learning Arabic. We won't lie, Arabic will pose some major challenges to those who are used to our alphabetic system. However, we promise the reward will be great.
