Climb

Climb Away
So you have an urge to climb but don't want to climb up the Empire State Building like Godzilla? No worries. Though the city is full of skyscrapers, you don't have to look far for a little rock; some real brownstone. At Central Park, a place called Rat Rock is a sure thrill for rock climbing with it's circular outcrop and 15-foot-high stretch. Who would have thought a nature trek could be available right in the city? But if you're a beginner, you can try something less risky- and indoor. At The Cliffs at Long Island City, a huge wall will await climbers in the spring, with 30,000 square feet of climbing.
