Sonny’s Soda Shoppe, a new rooftop bar atop the Mondrian SoHo, is modeled after Italy’s Fortei de Marmi Beach resort, complete with turfgrass and views of the distant Hudson River. The pink and white striped chic Italian spot serves homemade gelato in flavors like blood orange and pistachio. But of course, to keep the summer party going with Sunny’s DJ sets, you can boozify their gelato in a spiked Blood Orange Float with a scoop floating in tequila or go for a slightly classier frozen Limoncello.
