Company: AOL Ventures is the venture capital arm of AOL, focused on investing in the early stages of technology and internet companies. The fund aims to differentiate their investments by providing a unique product to entrepreneurs who are looking to partner with a corporate investor, who have the advantage of a larger scale. They prefer to invest in United States, Israel, and India. Their investments include Turntable and Codecademy.

The office: The East Village office shared by Mapquest and AOL Ventures is comprised of exposed brick walls with large archways and murals. The furniture includes bean bag chairs, an original Nintendo console, Play Station 2 and a pile of other games, a pool table, healthy vending machines, and an arcade game that measures the players stress level.
