Tourists who have not yet learned to negotiate their space
They're not from NYC, so you know they come from a place with way more elbow room than any resident of this fine city is used to. They stand in the middle of sidewalk with their arms akimbo, checking out the map that their equally obtrusive spouse holds for them. It's not their fault, they probably live in a five-bedroom house in the suburbs and have never had a roommate in their life. In fact their SUV is probably bigger than your apartment. Doesn't mean you can't exhale percussively as you maneuver your way past them, though.
