The Polar Rink at the American Museum of Natural History
This eco-friendly rink is New York City's first plastic ice-skating facility. The synthetic material allows the rink to save energy and money on cleanings, as the plastic sheets used to cover the space are recycled. The surface is also dry and bounce-like, making slip-and-falls a breeze.
