Book Stores
Just like coffee shops, when it comes to meeting people in book stores, it's all about choosing the right place. Avoid Borders and Barnes and Nobles and consider heading to smaller stores, where there is less mass buying and a lot more mingling.
The Strand is a popular choice (they were also voted as having the
cutest employees), although you need to walk past the touristy stuff on the main floor. Another pick is McNally Jackson's, where you can pick up a new read to page through at the cute in-store cafe.
