Yes, this is true.
You know what else is easier? Getting really out of shape, neglecting to touch up your roots or tweeze your eyebrows, online dating, wearing sweatpants outdoors, dating an investment banker, dropping out of grad school, letting your nail polish chip, quitting your job and selling Mary Kay, eating microwaved lasagna for dinner, shopping at malls, taking the elevator instead of the stairs, going to sit-down concerts instead of music festivals.
Are you going to do any of that? No, we didn't think so.
