It is a coming of age story about a family whose lives are a true example of the transformative power of movies. It portrays six boys who grow up on the Lower East Side, knowing little of the outside world because their family rarely permitted them to leave their home. Much of what they know of the city and the world is seen through films which they watch carefully and repeatedly.
