The National Urban Technology Center 2014 Gala Dinner

Other details: Last night, Urban Technology Center’s 19th Annual Gala Celebration was held on the 11th floor at Three Sixty Degrees, showing spectacular views of the Hudson River and LES. From 6 - 7:30 p.m., featured guests were escorted to the red carpet for pictures, while other guests enjoyed the three open bars and scrumptious hor d’oeuvres including various types of cheeses, fruits and gourmet vegetables. Many guests participated in the silent auction before being sat at their reserved tables. Alicia Quarles and Marcus DuBois opened the dinner and screened a short video about Urban Tech’s success, progression and effect it had on youth from low income families. Valentino D. Carlotti, head of The Securities Division Institutional Client Group and Senior Partner at Goldman Sachs, presented  the Corporate Leadership Award to Christopher J. Williams. Other award honorees included Stephen Coan, Hill Harper and Kimberly B. Davis. All four honorees spoke further about the success of Urban Tech, as guests enjoyed salads and entrees including filet mignon and salmon dishes. After dinner, guests participated in the auction, raising thousands of dollars from participants. All proceeds go toward Urban Tech’s goal to aid 100,000 students and families to enroll in their programs.
