LAIO Art Exhibit Opening Night Launch Party

Where: 58-60 Ninth Avenue Other details: Last night, the LAIO Art Exhibit held its opening night launch party. Tatiana Pages was wearing her own piece made from a sticker sign for her own gallery. Her Origomu line is made from plastic 6-pack rings. She went to Columbia and taught women in jail how to create jewlery made from the plastic to sell at local flea markets so that they can be empowered and feel liberated while imprisoned. All of the jewlery in Tatiana Pages' LAIO collection, which includes the ORIGOMU line, is environmentally conscious. She wants to inspire people to find use for things like plastic and paper that are usually considered Trash. Artist Ben Moon displayed sushi-inspired art and "before and after" series of artwork as well.
