[Photo: Matthew Settle, Kelly Rutherford] Other details: The Four Seasons Restaurant hosted Love Heals, The Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS Education 2013 Gala, honoring Dana Auslander, Richard E. Farley, and Mary Alice Stephenson. The night included an open bar and hors d’œuvre in the Grill Room, followed by dinner and presentations in the Pool Room. Guests celebrated the Love Heals organization that Jerrold Gertz’s dedicated to his daughter, Alison Gertz, who died from AIDS in 1992 at the young age of 26. Alison became a hero by raising awareness to all Americans, as her story surfaced the fatal realities of the disease. Now, Love Heals continues to educate and empower young people’s lives. Guest speaker, Jahlove Serrano, an AIDS survivor, shared his own heartfelt story at the dinner. The event concluded with a live auction, which even The Four Season’s restaurant co-owner, Jimmy Niccolini participated in and outbid for an Irene Neuwirth necklace. Following the auction, actor Cheyenne Jackson sang tributes to Elton John, and guests enjoyed the restaurant’s signature cotton candy. All proceeds from the evening directly support Love Heals’ efforts to protect the next generation of New Yorkers from HIV.
