Other details: Last night, the legendary downtown Bible, PAPER Magazine, celebrated its 30th birthday with a huge bash at the new Space Ibiza on West 50th. The industrial venue was filled with the off-kilter cultural influencers who have shaped NYC over the last three decades, from iconic queens like Lady Bunny to the strangely alluring ATL Twins.
Blown-up portraits of cover stars Brooke Candy and Courtney Love lined the dance floor while guests hovered close to the stage awaiting Brooke's performance. Bradley Soileau, model and Lana Del Rey video star, worked the turntables for the first half of the night until the stage's two projectors lit up with the trippy imagery signifying Brooke's arrival.
After a fierce performance (which she ended with a loud "F*CK YOU ALL!"), Sam Ronson took over DJing duties and most of the crowd headed outside. There, Skrillex was being really nice about taking selfies with drunk people, Hari Nef was double-cheek kissing everyone, and the ATL Twins pounced on model Ashley Smith. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed drinks provided by Cointreau.
