Other details: Last night, Studio in a School displayed hundreds of art pieces by New York City students in grades K-12 at Christie’s. Studio in a School has been teaching visual arts to New York City children in under-served public schools, daycare centers, and community-based organization for over 37 years. All guests walked through a narrow white hallway that led into a large room where art hung or rested on pedestals. The art was absolutely phenomenal and the mediums varied from drawings, paintings, and paper mache sculptures. Guests such as Jeff Koons, William Wegman, Wendy Mark, Maira Kalman and Rick Meyerowitz admired the works from the talented children.
