The event showcased the organization’s global efforts and recognized its success in providing thousands of life changing surgeries for children around the world who suffer from facial deformities. The night commenced with cocktails and a choreographed performance by children who have benefited from the surgery. Mena Suvari, Jessica Stam, and Kate Flannery hosted The New York Smile Event in honor of Yue-Sai Kan and PepsiCo. Yue-Sai Kan, of The China Beauty Charity Fund, graciously received The Universal Smiles Award, presented by Miss Universe China and Miss Universe USA. Luis Mantoyo, who accepted the Corporate Humanitarian Award on behalf of PepsiCo, stated how proud the company was to be working with Operation Smile and its mission to give every child a chance to show their smiles. The night featured a fabulous dinner, live auction, musical performances, and concluded with dessert and dancing.
