Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld Hosts the Clare Rojas Opening Exhibition

Other details: On Saturday, art curator Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld hosted an opening exhibition for artists Clare Rojas at his project space. The party was an intimate affair, with notable guests occupying Roitfeld's Upper East Side space which he opened this year to present special exhibits including a Peter Lindbergh show in September. On the lower floor, guests like hotelier Vikram Chatwal, actress Kelly Rutherford, and art dealer Jeffrey Deitch walked around the 3 rooms which featured large, geometric paintings. Rojas stated that her "focus for the show was trying to harness harmony and sound," something magnified by the openness and acoustics of the lower rooms versus the "meditative mind-space" she described the upstairs as. There was also a sculpture on display upstairs, which added another dimension to the style she displayed in her paintings. After guests explored the rooms and artwork, most stuck around to mingle and catch up with friends. Carine Roitfeld was enamored with the work and was in a jovial mood as she chatted with Stephen Gan and Stavros Niarchos Jr. Julia Restoin Roitfeld also came to check out the artwork and support her brother before she headed out to celebrate her birthday.
