Where: Gustavino's Other details: The 3rd annual Pencils of Promise Gala took place last night at Gustavinos. The non-profit organization, which founder Adam Braun set up to ensure success of international education, builds schools and promotes education throughout the world. Guests of the gala included Ambassador Sophia Bush alongside honorees Dan Cahill and Scott Braun. The Gala has been known to raise over a million dollars to go toward the organization. What does being an Ambassador mean to you? Well for me, Pencils of Promise isn't work. It's family, it's friends, it's incredible to have a home base that we can come to and say "how are we going to work on global education? How are we going to ensure that kids around the world have access to expanding their minds and enriching their opportunities in life?" You're also busy with a new project, Chicago PD. How do you have time to keep up with all of this? I always feel like I'm letting something fall through the cracks, but at the end of the day, you do your best, try as hard as you can, keep in touch with as many people as you can, and try to figure it all out. It's a juggling act for all of us; I don't think there's ever a perfect recipe. Of course, we have to know who are you wearing tonight? I'm wearing Escada.
