Where: Hearst Tower Other details: Last night Popular Mechanics magazine hosted their Breakthrough Awards at Hearst Tower, celebrating the best new and innovative technologies of the year. The event featured incredible inventions such as an exoskeleton that helps paraplegic people stand up (Indego Exoskeleton), a scanner that turns any object into a blueprint for a 3D printer (MakerBot Digitizer 3D Scanner), and an electronic longboard (Boosted Boards of Longboard). Guests were able to meet many of the innovators, as well as test out some of the products.
