Other details: Last night, the FIT Foundation Annual Awards Gala took place at Cipriani 42nd street. The black tie event honored Jay H. Baker, Linda Fargo, and Joan Hornig and featured a red carpet, cocktail hour, and dinner. Pink and blue low lighting throughout Cipriani made for a romantic ambiance, with pops of bright colors within the floral arrangements at every dining table. The room and tables were covered with candles, while mannequins dressed in fashionable feather attire stood on display throughout the venue. Guests wore everything from floor length gowns with sparkles to formal little black dresses. FIT Trustee, Joan Horning, wore a dress designed especially for her by FIT Alumna, Cristina Ottaviano. At cocktail hour, servers offered Bellinis, as well as other cocktails from any one of the open bars.
