CultureHorde's Nelson Mandela Tribute Concert

Where: St. Paul The Apostle Other details: With fashion week winding down last night, Culture Horde and the Nelson Mandela foundation hosted a charity concert in the late Mandela's honor. Special guests Morgan Freeman and Gareth Cliff took the guests in attendance on a journey through Mandela's life while the Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir sang traditional South African songs. Keynote speaker and former President Bill Clinton spoke on behalf of his personal relationship with Nelson Mandela and the work he had accomplished in South Africa, while joking that his voice wouldn't compare to the Soweto choir or the "voice of god," Morgan Freeman. The night ended with a VIP cocktail reception where both Clinton and Freeman could be seen mingling with honored guests and dancing along to the Soweto choir.
