Other details: Last night, Operation Smile hosted a fundraising event at Cipriani Wall Street to benefit their medical charity, which provides free cleft surgery and care. Natalie Morales of NBC News served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event, which raised $1 million for the cause. Sharif Atkins was honored with the Universal Smile Award for his contributions to the organization, and took the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend of 3 1/2 years on stage at the event (she said yes!). Michael Strahan was the special guest of the night, and had fun with the crowd to celebrate their philanthropic efforts.
