Other details: Last night, 150 people joined Jewish Home Lifecare at the Scholastic Auditorium in Soho for the 2nd Annual Himan Brown Symposium. Keynote speaker Jason Furman, the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, talked to the audience about the economy as baby boomers age. The panel respondents, powerhouses in their own right, Jennie Chin Hansen, CEO, American Geriatrics Society and a past President of AARP and James R. Tallon Jr., a nationally recognized health care policy leader, President, United Hospital Fund of New York and Chairman of the Commonwealth Fund, laid out some of the challenges and solutions they see surrounding social, economic and policy issues that emerge from the “age wave” that is upon us.
