Guests were picked up at the gates of the botanical garden and taken on a bus tour up to the train show.
The event began with cocktails in the Palm Dome and the guests admired the holiday train show. Staff dressed up as train conductors (which resembled more like Mario from Mario Cart) and were giving information sessions of each building structures.
Most guests, however, arrived fashionably late (including Chris Benz and Tinsley Mortimer) and the cocktail hour didn't begin to fill up until the very end.
Guests rang in the party of the season with elegant floor length dresses. This year, more than the mink coats, the overwhelmingly popular style was the fur/feather addition to the floor length dresses. Also, Bill Cunningham was there taking photos.
