Jean-Michel Basquiat Opening Reception at Acquavella Galleries

Where: Acquavella Gallery Other details: Last night, Acquavella Gallery hosted an intimate reception for the new Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit. The gallery featured 22 of Basquiat's drawings from the Schorr Family collection, most of which were exhibited to the public for the first time. Guests including Devendra Banhart, Tony Shafrazi, and Jeffrey Deitch filled up the Upper East Side gallery to view the intricate drawings, which featured words and symbols to create unique and complex images.
