Let's get real for a sec. Unless you're an heiress and mommy and daddy are bankrolling your fab new apartment, you're probably not going to be living in a townhouse in Greenwich Village as a millennial (at least not right away), so having a realistic budget is of utmost importance. Even if you can afford the more expensive of the places you're looking at, take into consideration your other expenses because we all know living in New York can get pricey. Stay realistic.
