One of the most coveted prizes in today's crazed culinary scene is a seat at Cesar Ramirez's exquisite 18-seat chef's tasting table attached to the trendy grocery marketplace on Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Things have been pretty crazy here ever since the Michelin Guide awarded the neighborhood gem two stars, turning the little kitchen into an overnight sensation. Getting a reservation here requires dedication and perseverance, as there is usually a two-month wait. But those who have been lucky enough to perch themselves at this table for a few hours agree that the wait was well worth it.
