Traif

Traif
This one is for the meat lovers of the group. Sitting on the the border of the Hasidic Jewish neighborhood of old Williamsburg and the hisptervillle scene of new Williamsburg is Chef Jason Marcus' provocatively delicious celebration of all things carnivorous. With a name that roughly translates to "non-kosher," it might even be considered borderline offensive if not for the mouth-watering selection of hyper-seasonal dishes being churned out by the restaurant's open kitchen. If the strawberry and cinnamon glazed pork ribs don't win you over, which one diner proclaimed "sang me a love song," something else on their extensive seasonal menu will. With plenty of vegetarian and seafood options as well, Traif will please even the most finicky of eaters in your group. Come hungry, and don't be afraid to get a little messy.
