Chekhov revolutionized theater when he wrote the play, Uncle Vanya, in the early 20th century. The legend of the provincial Russian family Chekhov imagined has been carried on in the form of fine Russian cuisine in Manhattan's own Midtown district. Unlike the play, the restaurant counter part of Uncle Vanya is a lot more fun. The restaurant features live music every night. Outside of good ol' classic Russian fun that can be expected from the borscht + vodka induced coma, the "Chicken Vanya" is simply to die for.
