Jack's Wife Freda

Jack's Wife Freda. All the cool kids are doing it. You've heard of it. Probably even tried to go. Though alas, you're not the only one. There is rarely never not a line outside* of JWF. From breakfast to dinner, and all requisite fake meal hybrids in between, Instagram word spreads, and wait times surge. And all with good reason. We dare you to find a warmer, happier spot in all the city.

*Unless of course, you happen upon them on a Tuesday morning, when they happen to be closed to shoot photos for their upcoming cookbook, natch.

And so the hip set continue to make their bi-weekly brunch pilgrimage to this holy land of bistro joints, flocking in droves, cool sunglasses drawn over their fun-loving faces, shielding the memories of last night. For food, it's impossible to go wrong with a little oeuf action - The Madame Freda is beyond, and the Eggplant Baguette's no dud either. Just make sure to settle in with a Pimm's Cup No.1. Live a little even, get two! Basically, this place is on its way to Downtown domination - owners Dean and wife Maya having opened two of these perpetually popping spots, one on Carmine, the other on Lafayette. Come at 10AM to be seen, come at 10PM to be scene.
