If you're prefer to skip the shopping or online browsing this time-- or if you simply don't have Internet access-- you can donate $10 directly to the Red Cross by texting the words "REDCROSS" to 90999. You can also download the free Red Cross Hurricane App, which will provide you with up-to-date weather alerts, info on Red Cross shelters, and a "tool-kit" a flashlight, strobe light, and alarm that uses to social media to let friends and family know you're okay.
