Stand up to shamers

Remember Hilary Duff? Of course you do, but you probably feel bad that you had to rack your brain for a minute to recollect what exactly she does these days. She's on a television show no one is watching and she made an attempt at a comeback for her music career. She never quite took off after her child star days but whatevs, it happens. She recently went viral for a hot minute and people commended her for being so brave because shared a photo of her showing off her hot body and was like, "Fuck off, haters!" Oh wow. So courageous.  But seriously, have you ever read an article that body shamed Hilary Duff? I sure haven't, and half my job consists of being on social media and read about this stuff all day.

This is the Jennifer Lawrence Defense. Obviously you've heard of Jennifer Lawrence, and you've probably heard about the hype surrounding her. "Oh! She farts and eats Doritos! So relatable yet so sexy and talented!" And you've probably also heard her talk about how she's considered "fat" in Hollywood and gets called it often. But have you ever actually read a blog or heard someone call her fat? You haven't. She's 5'6", a size 2, and wears a 32 C bra. That's not uncommon in her field. Yeah, there's always going to be people shaming you for being chubby on social media when you're obviously not - it's even happened to me and I'm not famous, but it's not exactly something that happens a ton. I'm calling bullshit on that one. But if you wanna go viral, fight against body shamers that are as relevant and noticeable as....well, as relevant and noticeable as Hilary Duff is these days!
