Founder and CEO Marissa Evans created Go Try It On as a way for users to get honest opinions on their wardrobe choices. The iPhone app acts as a virtual stylist, where users can upload a photo of their outfit and get opinions from an online community of fellow fashion enthusiasts. Users are even able to ask a brand or professional stylist for advice. The idea came about when Marissa's lawyer sister was too busy to give her fashion advice. Marissa explained to
Business Insider, "I figured there should be a site, a marketplace of opinions, where users could go and get that instant feedback."
