Trailblazer: Tina Fey (Liz Lemon)
Tina Fey is probably the most recognizable female face in comedy. Her sharp wit and self-deprecating humor have gotten her to far extents in the once male-dominated world of entertainment. After nine years on the cast of "Saturday Night Live," Fey left and started her own project with NBC, which grew into a five season long show called "30 Rock."
Tina Fey's character Liz Lemon is probably one of the most quoted characters in television, and with good reason. Almost every woman in the world can relate to Liz's junk food binges and bad hair days-- but not all women can relate to her job in the show. Fey parodies the bizarre and hilarious happenings behind the scenes of a live show, similar to "SNL," and how she deals with head honchos like Alec Baldwin's alpha male character, Jack Donaghy.
