They don't live up to their own hype
If they talk about how universally adored, intelligent, mature, classy, and witty they are all the time, that alone is a major red flag. Because people who possess any of those qualities usually don't broadcast that they have those qualities. Especially if they don't actually demonstrate those qualities ever. Lack of self awareness isn't appealing, but people generally aren't 100% self aware because that's human nature. But, if they claim they're all these things PLUS how self aware they are, they are a sociopath.
