Don't Build Armies
When breaking up with a friend who is in the same friend group as you, it is really hard for people not to take sides. Listen, I know it's hard because your friends are who you vent to, but there's a fine line between venting and building an army of people who agree with you. You do not need to divide a friend group because of a friendship breakup. So, as best as you can, avoid making bystanders take sides and keep any battling to a one-on-one boxing match.
