Disney Channel Comes Out For The First Time
Who would have thought Disney Channel - the birthplace of High School Musical - would wait this long before in some way hinting at the existence of a gay person within their mouseketeer world. And so the tween show Andi Mack made Disney history this year with lead character, 13-year-old Cyrus Goodman, sharing his coming out story as he begins to realize that he has feelings for one of his male classmates.
