Lilac Soda

Lilacs are known to have a lemony, slightly bitter taste, while violets are known for being sweet. You get both of these flavors in a Lilac Soda (plus a little buzz).

Lilac Soda

1 1/4 cups water

1 cup sugar

2 cups lilac blossom

1/2 tsp citric acid

For color: Remove Lilac blossoms from the plant. Heat water and sugar in sauce pan on High until sugar is dissolved. Add the Lilac and simmer for 10 min. Strain and allow to cool.
