You should obviously not show up anywhere empty handed, and yeah, it's the thought that counts. But if you're going to bring a gift anyway, you may as well make it something that gets gasps. We're thinking along the lines of something ridiculously extravagant and expensive and alcoholic, like Remy Martin in pure Saint-Louis crystal. It'll cost you $5000 but the reputation you'll get is priceless.
