Broderick Hunter: Selfie"Comparing yourself to other people is a real mistake." —Kevin Spacey "I study a lot of actors, models, musicians, and different people in the arts. I recently came across an interview Kevin Spacey did talking about his journey into a very successful acting career. He said that coming up, he was growing with a lot of successful people that were becoming very huge stars rather quickly—and he wasn't. (Or, that's what he felt.) He said that he had to not only focus on his own craft but also remind himself numerous times that it was important to not compare himself to others. Coming from a guy like Kevin Spacey, one of the best actors in my opinion, but he still felt that he wasn't good enough at some point in his life. Not to say that those other people he came up with didn't become huge success stories themselves, but his flourishing career is proof enough that anything is possible if you work at it. Hearing him say that taught me to not only focus on my own craft but also to not dictate my success (or how far I will go in my career) based off of someone else's current or potential success." —Broderick [@broderickhunter]
