Defecation, more specifically canine fecal matter, is the basis for this project. the Citizen's Committee of New York City believes that dog poop will be able to provide enough energy to power the city, well 750 homes to be specific. The dog waste will be composted then processed through a digester to create energy. A similar idea is already in action 80 miles southwest in Philadelphia. A company called
Black Gold harvests renewable energy and other bio-products from waste water.
