Tough Week For Bear Stearns, and Greasy Bear

by Stanely Stuyvesant · March 18, 2008

Usually the saying goes something like this, "Bears and Bulls make money, Pigs get slaughtered". But times must be a changing because these days its the Bears that have been getting slaughtered. As we all know Bear Stearns lost approximately 99% of its market value this past week after the bank suffered a major liquidity crisis and had to be bailed out by J.P. Morgan. With employees keeping upwards of 40% of their net worth in the company, the collapse no doubt has serious effects on their situations as well as the economy as a whole.

Brandon (Greasy Bear) Davis also had trouble this week. Greaseball McGee was banned from the Setai hotel in Miami, and was booted from Scott Storch's house after he copped a $100,000 dollar watch from Storch's home. Bear Stearns woes seem to be mainly a result of the credit crisis, but Greasy Bears problems could very well stem from the fact that he isn't so much a Bear as a Pig.
