Red Sky at the Centara Grand
For the less touristy alternative of the skyscraper roof top bar in Bangkok, head over to Red Sky at the Centara. While it still caters to a touristic crowd (it is a hotel bar after all), you won’t be amongst drunken Bachelors on “The Hangover II” weekend package—like you’d find at the Lebua State Tower, where the movie was filmed. Red Sky’s circular area is broken off into intimate sections with the core of the tower acting as an indoor restaurant, and the surrounding periphery an outdoor seated dining area complimented by beds and sofas. This is a perfect place to steal a quiet moment with that special someone amidst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city.
