The Evolution Of The 'Club Dance'

by Ramya Velury · March 5, 2012

Some club dances were created on the "streets," by dancers who re-adapted styles from previous generations. Other famous club dances simply caught on from someone's signature move (ahem, Carlton Banks). Ultimately, they became dance crazes for the masses, making the uncoordinated even more socially awkward. These dances include some of the best throw backs, like the snake, the Carlton, and the Dougie. Here are some of the biggest dance crazes of the '80s, '90s, and 2000s.
