The Croft Institute
Deep in the heart of Melbourne's Chinatown is the Croft Institute. The themed bar is a treat for those who can find it. While it is modeled after an old-school science lab, the scientists are actually bartenders and the concoctions are alcoholic. Drinks come with syringes and creepy touches (like an empty hospital cot in the bathroom) are peppered throughout the bar. While the dim entrance would indicate a tiny hole-in-the wall, the bar actually spans three floors.
