No list would be complete without including the Met Costume Gala held annually in New York, and attracting some of the best and sparkliest from fashion and film. Every year the red carpet photo call gets longer, the dresses more extravagant and the star wattage brighter. Everyone from Anna Wintour, Diane Kruger, Anne Hathaway and Gwyneth Paltrow duke it out to receive kudos on their sartorial choices. People (and gown) watching at its best.
