amfAR Gala in Cannes
Skipping back over the pond, amfAR's dinner at the close of the Cannes Film Festival just keeps on getting better. On the French Riviera and surrounded by Hollywood sparklies, guests outbid each other for the chance to play tennis with Prince Albert of Monaco, all the while raising money for AIDS research. It is safe to say conspicuous consumption never really left the South of France but at least its all for a good cause...
