Ye Waverly Inn

Ye Waverly Inn
Where: 16 Bank Street and Waverly Place

Now under the ownership of Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter and packed with celebs, Ye Waverly Inn wasn't always the select, cozy club it is today. A fire that devastated the building in 1977 left just one room unscathed in the hotel - Room 16. Rumored to have been started by the hotel's resident ghosts, this is the room employees claimed the ghosts favored. As early as the 1920s, there was an article published in the New York Times regarding the fires ghosts started. While there hasn't been a fire since 1977, you can still dine with the ghosts as shadowy figures can still be seen walking in and out of the Inn.
